Find Crabwise items in Spotlight

Search for Crabwise items in Spotlight on your Mac and open them from the results. Click a result and Crabwise shows the item.

Items are added to Spotlight while a library is open in Crabwise. Items in the Trash don’t appear in Spotlight.

Choose what Spotlight includes

1. Choose Crabwise > Settings… and open Spotlight.
2. Turn on Include Crabwise items in Spotlight. It is on by default.
3. Under Include, choose what can be searched: Names and tags, Notes, or Article text. Article text is off by default.
4. Under Libraries, your recent libraries are listed. Turn on only the ones you want in Spotlight.

Rebuild or remove the Spotlight data

If results look wrong, click Rebuild Spotlight Index. To remove all Crabwise items from Spotlight, click Remove from Spotlight.

If you turn the setting off, items already in Spotlight stay until you rebuild or remove them.
