The room doesn't line up with the floor
Updated:
This article explains what to do if an actual-size room appears above or below the real floor, or in an unexpected position. The floor may not have been detected, so look around the floor, then reposition the room.
Actual-size rooms are placed on the real floor detected by Apple Vision Pro. Before a floor is detected, the app temporarily places the floor 1.4 m below your head. Once the floor is detected, the room moves to its height.
Option 1
Look around the floor and wait for detection
- While in the actual-size room, look around the floor near your feet.
- Wait for floor detection. Once the floor is detected, the room moves to the real floor’s height.
Option 2
Select another room to reposition the plan
- In the In the Room window, tap another room in the Current room list.
- Tap the original room again.
Each time you switch rooms, the floor is detected again and the plan is repositioned so you’re at the center of the selected room.
Option 3
Close and reopen the actual-size space
- Tap Back to Floor Plan in the In the Room window.
- Select the room you want to stand in from the Floor Plan window.
- Tap Enter Room at Actual Size.
Each time you open the space, it places you at the selected room’s center using your current position and direction.
If the problem continues, include:
- Whether the room appears too high or too low
- The floor material, such as carpet or wood, and the room’s brightness
- Your visionOS and Madori Walk versions
