A room snaps to a neighboring edge when moved
Updated:
This article explains what to do if a room lands somewhere other than where you release it. Its position is automatically adjusted to prevent overlap and align edges. Moving it onto another room places it beside that room; bringing it close to a neighboring room snaps it into contact without a gap.
Rooms can’t overlap. These adjustments happen automatically:
- Positions align to 0.1 m increments.
- Edges align when within 0.2 m of a neighboring room’s edge.
- Releasing a room in an overlapping position places it at the nearest position where edges meet.
Option 1
Move the room to a position without overlap
- Drag the room to an open area away from other rooms.
- Release your fingers. The room stays apart from the others.
If the position doesn’t overlap, the room stays there.
Option 2
Leave more than 0.2 m to avoid edge alignment
Release the room more than 0.2 m from a neighboring edge to avoid snapping to it. The position still aligns to 0.1 m increments.
Option 3
Move the neighboring room first
If another room occupies the intended location, Move and rearrange rooms first, then place the room you want to move.
When adding a room, select a room beside the intended location before tapping Add Room. The new room appears to its right.
If the problem continues, include:
- The moved room’s name and its positions before and after the move
- The number of nearby rooms and their approximate sizes
- The visionOS version on your Apple Vision Pro and your Madori Walk version
