Why do neighboring rooms move when I enlarge a room?
Updated:
Rooms can’t overlap, so enlarging an edge into a neighboring room pushes that room away without changing its size.
- Rooms beyond the expanding edge are pushed until their edges meet. If more rooms are beyond a pushed room, they are pushed in turn.
- Pushed rooms keep their sizes. Only their positions change.
- Shrinking a room doesn’t pull neighboring rooms closer. A gap remains between them.
- If pushing can’t resolve an overlap, the resize is canceled and the original size is restored.
To enlarge a room without moving a neighbor, Move and rearrange rooms somewhere else first.
